Susan Montminy

Sue Montminy has been a wellness practitioner for 25 years. “I consider myself to be an adventurer, I love trying new things, being outdoors (hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking, walking, etc), I am an avid reader and love book recommendations.  My joy is practicing yoga, playing my sound healing instruments, hanging with my husband and facetiming my boys and my grandson!  My mom is my biggest inspiration.  My style of teaching is to meet you where you are, to provide you with a safe place to just be yourself.  I hope to see you at our events and classes.”

Sue’s Services

  • Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also can promote healing. It can be administered by a gentle touch or by holding hands just above the body. It is based on the idea that life force energy flows through each of us and is what causes us to be alive. If our life force energy is low, we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

  • Sound Healing is an ancient wellness practice for healing, relaxation and self-care.  A session involves lying down in a comfortable setting, closing our eyes and focusing on the sounds and vibrations that travel through our bodies.

5 positive effects of a sound bath:

       1. Activates the parasympathetic nervous system- Rest, Restore & Digest

       2. Destress and lessen anxiety

       3. Helps the cells within the body release toxins through the vibrations

       4. Improves mental focus

       5. Improves sense of well-being

The instruments of a sound bath vary such as: chimes, gongs, singing bowls (Himalayan & Crystals), rattles, drums, tuning forks and more.

Private session (individual)  1 hour- $65

Private group (up to 5) 1 hour $130

Option of adding Reiki or Tarot - Group parties only - additional cost

  • Restorative yoga is the practice of deliberate stillness.

It is a restful practice that holds yoga asanas (poses) for a longer duration, using assorted props (blankets, cushions, blocks) to support the body more comfortably. The work emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga, striving for the union of the body and the mind. In restorative yoga, participants are encouraged to use the props to fully relax into each stretch and focus on the breath to release tension.
