IT’S OUR ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY AT THE CRESCENT COLLECTIVE!

Wild Roots of Yoga moved the heart of our practice to The Crescent Collective in Liverpool one year ago, and we want to celebrate our anniversary with you. On Sunday, September 21, we are planning a unique restorative yoga class. We have invited a special guest, Rebecca Blanche of Om Love Love, to assist in our restorative yoga practice that morning.

This hour of restorative yoga involves holding relaxed poses (blocks, blankets, bolsters encouraged) for longer periods of time. As you settle into your poses, you will experience three different paths to relaxation, including meditation, sound and reiki. Rebecca will guide you through meditations while Sue plays a wide range of sound instruments . Michele will send silent reiki energy to everyone, sharing the specific intention of deeper relaxation. There is absolutely no experience required.

The details:

Date: Sunday, September 21 from 9:30-10:30.

Plan to arrive a few minutes early to set up your mat and settle in. Wear comfy clothes and bring a yoga mat (if you have one) and anything else that would make you comfortable. We welcome you to stay afterward to celebrate with a mimosa mocktail.

Cost: $20 Advance registration is required to secure your spot. Contact Michele or Sue

  • Absolutely a wonderful combination of relaxation!  This class will consist of a  few restorative yoga poses, while being guided through meditation using imagery, breathwork, and sound healing. This is a one-hour class.

Restorative yoga is a practice of deliberate stillness. It is a restful practice that holds yoga asanas (poses) for a longer duration, using assorted props (blankets, cushions, blocks) to support the body more comfortably. The work emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga, striving for the union of the body and the mind. In restorative yoga, participants are encouraged to use the props to fully relax into each stretch and focus on the breath to release tension.

  • Sue will lead participants through some simple restorative yoga poses (no yoga experience needed for this!) while she plays her sounds from singing bowls, chimes, gongs, drums and more. As you relax completely, Michele will share Reiki energy with each participant to help more fully let go.
