Shuffle Dancing, Low Impact for Beginners
Low Impact Shuffle Dance offers all the energy and excitement of shuffle dancing without the jumping. This class features fast footwork, rhythm-based movement, and hip-hop-inspired choreography - all adapted to keep your feet on the ground. Don't let "low impact" fool you. This class delivers a serious cardiovascular workout while building the coordination, balance, and leg strength that keep you moving confidently through life. The quick footwork patterns challenge your brain and body, improving neural connections while strengthening bones and muscles. This class is perfect for women who are building up their fitness, recovering from injury, working on balance and stability, or simply prefer to keep jumping out of their routine. You'll still sweat, you'll still challenge yourself, and you'll definitely still have fun. No dance experience necessary.
The impact and footwork patterns are excellent for bone density, balance, stability and cardiovascular endurance—essential elements in preventing osteoporosis and arthritis as we age.
All ages and fitness levels welcome.

About Your Instructor
Erin’s dance journey began at age five with classical training in tap, jazz, and ballet. In 2002, she discovered belly dance and quickly developed her own fusion style, blending her classical foundation with hip hop influences to teach, choreograph, and perform for several years. After a nearly 12-year hiatus to raise her children and pursue her bachelors in exercise science and doctorate in physical therapy, she missed dance deeply. She started her own little Saturday practice, just moving around her room for fun, when she discovered shuffle dance on YouTube—and she's been hooked ever since, loving the workout, the challenge, and the benefits for her bones and body.
But beyond the clinical perks of both bellydance and shuffle dance? Both dance forms are pure joy. Erin is ready and excited to help women move, groove, and thrive through every phase of life.
Shuffle Dancing, Beginners
Shuffle Dance is a high-energy, hip-hop-inspired dance class built on fast footwork, jumps, and rhythmic patterns that will challenge your coordination and elevate your heart rate. This isn't just dance—it's a powerful workout for women. The jumping and dynamic footwork stimulate bone growth, helping build and maintain bone density that's critical for long-term health. The quick direction changes and weight shifts improve balance and proprioception, while the cardiovascular intensity delivers a serious calorie burn without feeling like traditional exercise. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast looking for something fresh or someone who just wants to move with intensity and joy, shuffle dance meets you where you are. The choreography challenges your brain as much as your body, creating new neural pathways while you're having too much fun to notice you're working hard. Come ready to jump, sweat, laugh, and surprise yourself with what your body can do. No dance experience necessary. All levels welcome.
The impact and footwork patterns are excellent for bone density, balance, stability and cardiovascular endurance—essential elements in preventing osteoporosis and arthritis as we age.
All ages and fitness levels welcome.

911 Old Liverpool Rd, Suite 2
Space limited. Grab your spot
Absolutely a wonderful combination of relaxation! This class will consist of a few restorative yoga poses, while being guided through meditation using imagery, breathwork, and sound healing. This is a one-hour class.
Restorative yoga is a practice of deliberate stillness. It is a restful practice that holds yoga asanas (poses) for a longer duration, using assorted props (blankets, cushions, blocks) to support the body more comfortably. The work emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga, striving for the union of the body and the mind. In restorative yoga, participants are encouraged to use the props to fully relax into each stretch and focus on the breath to release tension.
Delicious Dance
DELICIOUS DANCE
Start your week by wringing out everything your body is holding onto. This isn't your typical dance class. Delicious Dance is a slow, intentional practice that weaves together fluid belly dance movements, deep stretchy yoga, and mantra meditation—all designed to help you release tension, open your fascia, and create space in both body and mind. Move slowly. Breathe deeply. Let go completely. We spiral through the hips, undulate through the spine, stretch into every corner of your body that's been holding stress. The mantras guide you inward while the movement carries you through. By the end, you'll feel wrung out in the best possible way—lighter, more spacious, ready to step into your week with clarity and ease.
All levels welcome. No dance experience needed.

Strength Training for Peri to Post Menopause
Strength Training for Peri to Post Menopause is a specialized class designed by Dr. Erin Calandra, Doctor of Physical Therapy, specifically for women navigating hormonal changes. As estrogen and progesterone decline, your body changes. Joints become more vulnerable to breakdown, muscle mass decreases, bone density declines, and inflammation increases. But this isn't inevitable decline—it's a transition that requires intelligent, targeted movement. This class focuses on protecting and strengthening the joints most at risk during menopause: hips, knees, shoulders, and spine. Using evidence-based exercises, we build supportive strength, improve joint stability, enhance bone density, and teach movement patterns that keep you strong and mobile for decades to come. Perfect for every level. Whether you're new to strength training or have been lifting for years, each exercise can be modified or progressed in class to match your current abilities and goals. This is personalized strength training in a supportive group setting. You don't have to accept weakness, pain, or limitation as inevitable parts of aging. Your body is capable of getting stronger—it just needs the right approach.

Dance Floor Church
Dance Floor Church
with Tere Marie
The body serves as the container that houses all three of our ‘selves'
Body, Spirit and Mind.
And there's no greater medicine than tapping into the wisdom of the body.
Yet…Due to trauma, societal conditioning, lack of information and a cultural disregard for the importance of spiritual practice, many of us find ourselves disconnected from the three parts individually, let alone in unified connection with the group.
The basis of Dance Floor Church is facilitating unification of the of our three selves into one harmonious being or state.
In Dance Floor Church, we access flow state, which is an exquisite embodiment experience that many liken to bliss, or ecstasy.
When in flow state, our physical sensory system is in safety, and wide open to connection with our spiritual and emotional selves
From here, our physical self and our spiritual/ethereal/creative self come into harmonious alignment.
This process connects us to our truest expression of self, unlocking pathways to healing that have previously been inaccessible.
We can access our deepest, intuitive, creative stirrings
We can access parts of us that have felt ‘lost’ or ‘forgotten’.
We can access our inner wise woman
We can access Shadow with curiosity and openness
We can access healing where it was previously unavailable
We can access our magick and ability to manifest the lives we desire.
In Dance Floor Church, we remember who the fuck we are
In Dance Floor Church, we explore our nervous systems, tap into our deepest flow state, learn how to work with energies and emotions stored in the body, move them through the body, and reclaim our personal power through movement and dance.
During this class, you will connect to your deepest self, explore emotions/sensation/emotion, befriend and regulate your nervous system. You will fill your toolkit with exercises and practices to take home, and off the mat to help you feel more confident, powerful, and regulated throughout your week.
In class, we explore various techniques and practices, including: breath work, nervous system regulation, yoga, meditation, womb wisdom, un-choreographed (and some VERY sensual) dance.
This class is extremely powerful, and can, at times, be (safely) confronting.
Each class opens and closes in sacred circle, and invites all participants to be seen and witnessed in a circle of women.
Classes fill quickly, pre-registration is recommended
Currently, this class is open to women, non binary folks and all genders with internal reproductive anatomy.

Special Anniversary Edition with special guest ReBecca Blanch!*
IT’S OUR ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY AT THE CRESCENT COLLECTIVE!
Wild Roots of Yoga moved the heart of our practice to The Crescent Collective in Liverpool one year ago, and we want to celebrate our anniversary with you. On Sunday, September 21, we are planning a unique restorative yoga class. We have invited a special guest, ReBecca Blanch of Om Love Love, to assist in our restorative yoga practice that morning.
This hour of restorative yoga involves holding relaxed poses (blocks, blankets, bolsters encouraged) for longer periods of time. As you settle into your poses, you will experience three different paths to relaxation, including meditation, sound and reiki. Rebecca will guide you through meditations while Sue plays a wide range of sound instruments . Michele will send silent reiki energy to everyone, sharing the specific intention of deeper relaxation. There is absolutely no experience required.
The details:
Date: Sunday, September 21 from 9:30-10:30am.
Plan to arrive a few minutes early to set up your mat and settle in. Wear comfy clothes and bring a yoga mat (if you have one) and anything else that would make you comfortable. We welcome you to stay afterward to celebrate with a mimosa mocktail.
Cost: $20 Advance registration is required to secure your spot.
