Summer Solstice Celebration - SOLD OUT
The Summer Solstice is a day worth celebrating - especially for those of us in snowy Central New York finally making our way out of the long cold winter. The summer solstice, AKA Midsummer or Litha, is a time to celebrate the longest day of the year and the fact that we are tilted as close to the sun as we’ll ever be during the wheel of the year.
Liz & Linds host this Summer Solstice Party with 2 crafts, sips, and snacks! We’ll have sun tea, white wine, and honey cakes, and you’re welcome to bring additional sips and snacks.
DIY Airplant Sun Catcher Workshop
Linds will lead you through creating your own hanging sun catcher equipped with an airplant and geometric holders to capture and spread the sun’s energy in your space.
Sunjar Spell
Learn how to bottle up the current solar energy - literally - to carry with you into next winter for the long, cold nights by making a Sunjar Spell. Either create your own sunjar at home and bring it with you, purchase your sunjar supplies for $10 at the shop to craft it during this event, or watch the demonstration to use on your own later. Liz will guide us through the craft of a sunjar as well as how to use the midsummer spell in ritual during the dead of midwinter when you need a pop of sunshine and inspiration for warmer days to come.
* If you cannot attend this event and would like to create your own sunjar, all supplies will be available at the herb bar at The Crescent Collective during open hours throughout June, Tuesdays-Fridays 10-3pm, as well as during the Grand Opening. Sunjar kits are $10.
