Strength Training for Peri to Post Menopause is a specialized class designed by Dr. Erin Calandra, Doctor of Physical Therapy, specifically for women navigating hormonal changes. As estrogen and progesterone decline, your body changes. Joints become more vulnerable to breakdown, muscle mass decreases, bone density declines, and inflammation increases. But this isn't inevitable decline—it's a transition that requires intelligent, targeted movement. This class focuses on protecting and strengthening the joints most at risk during menopause: hips, knees, shoulders, and spine. Using evidence-based exercises, we build supportive strength, improve joint stability, enhance bone density, and teach movement patterns that keep you strong and mobile for decades to come. Perfect for every level. Whether you're new to strength training or have been lifting for years, each exercise can be modified or progressed in class to match your current abilities and goals. This is personalized strength training in a supportive group setting. You don't have to accept weakness, pain, or limitation as inevitable parts of aging.
